Each painted piece is carved by hand. A pyrograph tool is then used to give texture to feathers. Finally the piece is carefully painted with acrylic watercolour.

Stunning golden eagles are huge birds of prey, with their long broad wings and longish tail they like to soar and glide on air currents holding their wings in a shallow 'V'. Eagles have traditional territories and nesting places which may be used by generations. A few can be found in Cumbria but the majority live in the wild, open moorlands and mountains of Scotland, favouring islands and remote glens.
